Elite athletes around the world are using this 2-step, 1:1 method to access their best performance when it matters most, so they can consistently play with greater freedom, clarity and flow, both on and off the field

Here's what we usually get asked
1. How does it work?
In a nutshell, there are 2 steps to the process.
Step 1: Identify the performance block.
We use mental coaching to understand what’s actually happening when your performance changes. Where do you hesitate? What happens after a mistake? What changes when the pressure rises? What are you doing differently in competition compared with training?
You don’t need to know the answer before you come in. That’s what we work out together.
Step 2: Resolve the performance block.
Once we’ve identified what’s getting in the way, we use performance hypnosis to work directly with the automatic patterns underneath it and resolve the block.
Rather than giving you another technique to remember when you’re under pressure, we identify what’s getting in the way and then work directly on it.
The entire process is done 1:1 with me over Zoom. Yes, the hypnosis works completely over Zoom. You can do it from the comfort of your own home. Some athletes even do their sessions lying in bed. I’ve had NFL players do sessions with me using nothing more than their phone.
You don’t need to travel or use any special equipment. You just need somewhere you can be comfortable and uninterrupted.
For some athletes, the change can happen in one or two sessions. For others, it may take longer depending on what we’re working on.
So basically…
1. Identify the performance block.
2. Resolve it using performance hypnosis.
3. Access more of the performance you already know you’re capable of.
At this level, your physical and technical ability is already highly developed.
You’ve spent years training, competing and refining your skills. You’ve worked with coaches, built your game and proven that you have the ability to perform at the highest level.
So when there’s a gap between what you know you’re capable of and what you’re consistently accessing in competition, it usually isn’t a skills shortage.
You already have the skill. The question is whether you can consistently access it when it matters most.
That’s where the mental side of performance becomes so important.
Traditional mindset work can give you useful strategies, but there are times when simply talking yourself into confidence, thinking differently or trying to apply another mental technique doesn’t change the response you’re experiencing in the moment.
That’s because some of the patterns affecting performance can sit at a deeper, automatic level of the mind, often referred to as the subconscious. You don’t consciously choose to hesitate, second-guess yourself or tighten up after a mistake. The response can happen before you’ve had time to think about it.
That’s why we use hypnosis.
Hypnosis gives us a way to work directly with these deeper automatic patterns, rather than relying only on conscious thought and willpower to change them.
So at the elite level, the goal isn’t to teach you how to play your sport.
You’ve already spent years doing that.
A performance block is the automatic pattern that gets in the way of you accessing the level of performance you know you’re capable of.
It can show up differently for different athletes.
You might find yourself:
- Hesitating when you’d normally trust your instinct
- Second-guessing a decision
- Playing safer than you normally would
- Overthinking a simple situation
- Losing your composure after a mistake
- Struggling to get back into the moment
- Performing differently in competition than you do in training
The important thing is that you don’t necessarily have to know why it’s happening.
You may simply know that something changes when the pressure is on.
That’s why the first step is identifying the pattern. Once we understand what’s happening, we can work directly on it.
First, no, you’re not going to lose control, be made to cluck like a chicken, or do anything embarrassing. 😂
Performance hypnosis isn't stage hypnosis or mind control.
You remain conscious, aware and in control throughout the process. Think of it more like a deep state of focused relaxation, similar to meditation, where I guide you with a specific purpose.
But there’s an important distinction.
This isn’t standard hypnosis.
Hypnosis is one of the tools within the Boktor Method®, a performance-focused process that integrates more than five different modalities.
It’s the way these modalities are combined and applied to the individual athlete that makes the Boktor Method® unique and powerful.
You’re not simply coming in for a hypnosis session. First, we identify what’s getting in the way of your performance. Then I use the appropriate combination of tools to work directly with the patterns affecting it.
You relax deeply.
I guide the process.
We work directly on what’s getting in the way.
The goal isn't to give you another technique to manage during competition. It’s to remove what’s interfering with your performance, so you can access more of what you’ve already developed.
Yes. You remain conscious and aware throughout the session.
Performance hypnosis isn’t about losing control or being unaware of what’s happening. You’re in a deeply relaxed, focused state while I guide you through the process.
You can hear me, respond to me and communicate throughout the session. You also can’t be made to do something you don’t want to do.
The purpose is to help you access a state where you’re more receptive to making the changes we’re working on, while you remain an active part of the process.
Yes. The entire process can be done remotely over Zoom.
You don’t need to travel anywhere or have any special equipment. All you need is a comfortable, quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.
Some athletes prefer to sit comfortably, while others choose to lie down during the hypnosis component of the session.
I’ve even worked with NFL players who have completed sessions using nothing more than their phone.
The process is designed to work the same way remotely, while giving you the convenience of doing the session from wherever you are.
For some athletes, the shift can happen very quickly. You may notice a difference during the first session, while for others it can take longer depending on what we’re working on.
The aim isn’t to put you through a long program of mental exercises and hope something eventually changes. We identify what’s getting in the way and work directly on it.
Some athletes may only need one or two sessions to experience a meaningful shift. Others may need more time to work through what is affecting their performance.
The important thing is that we’re focused on resolving the performance block, rather than simply teaching you another technique to manage it.
Although you’ll receive the results from the first session, the process generally takes up to a month.
The following sessions are mainly about follow-up, reinforcing the change and making sure those results continue to translate into your training and competition over time.
Sessions are held fortnightly, so you have time between sessions to experience the changes and see how they show up in your performance.
For some athletes, the process may be even quicker. Others may benefit from the full month depending on what we’re working on.
Once we’ve completed the process, there’s nothing else you need to keep paying for or continue doing.
The aim is for the changes you’ve made to become part of how you naturally perform, rather than something you need to constantly think about or practise.
If you want to continue working together afterwards, you can. But there are no contracts or ongoing commitments required.
The aim is for you to be able to take the changes forward into your own performance without needing ongoing coaching.
That said, you’re not left completely on your own during the process. You have direct access to me between sessions if something comes up, particularly around a big game or a high-pressure period.
If you want to continue working together after the initial month, we can discuss what makes sense based on where you’re at and what you want to achieve.
No. This is performance coaching, specifically focused on helping elite athletes identify and resolve patterns that can interfere with their performance.
I’m a mind performance coach, not a psychologist or medical practitioner.
If you’re seeking medical or mental health assistance, please seek the appropriate qualified medical or mental health professional.
The work here is focused on your performance, how you respond under pressure, and helping you access more of the ability you already have.
This is for ambitious, self-aware elite athletes who already have the physical and technical ability, but know there is another level of performance available to them.
You may already train hard, work with coaches and have invested in your mental game.
- You might simply notice that something changes when the stakes get higher:
- You perform differently in competition than you do in training.
- You hesitate or second-guess yourself.
- One mistake can affect the next few moments.
- You know what you’re capable of, but don’t consistently access it when it matters most.
You don’t need to know exactly what’s causing it. That’s part of what we identify together.
The key is that you’re already performing at an elite level and you’re looking to access more of what you know you’re capable of.
The goal is to help you access the level of performance you already know you’re capable of, particularly when the pressure is on.
Depending on what you’re working on, this can mean:
- Performing more like you do in training when you compete
- Trusting your instincts instead of second-guessing
- Staying clear and composed when the stakes are high
- Recovering more quickly after a mistake
- Playing with greater freedom and decisiveness
The specific result will depend on what is getting in the way of your performance and what we identify and work on together.
The aim is not to give you another mental technique to remember during competition. It’s to resolve what’s interfering with your natural performance so you can get on with performing.
Many athletes I work with have already tried mindset coaching, visualisation, breathing techniques, mental skills training, or other approaches.
Those things aren’t wasted. Everything you’ve learned, practised and developed throughout your career is already part of your performance repertoire. The challenge can be consistently accessing and executing it when the pressure is on.
Rather than adding another technique for you to think about during competition, we work with the automatic patterns underneath your performance and help integrate what you already know and have developed.
The goal is to bring everything you’ve already learned together, so you can trust your instincts, access your skills and execute naturally when it matters most.
You don’t need to know.
In fact, that’s part of what we work out together.
You may simply know that you perform differently when the pressure is on. Maybe you hesitate, overthink, lose confidence after a mistake, or can’t access the same freedom you have in training.
You don’t need to be able to explain exactly why it’s happening or identify the pattern yourself.
Through the first part of the process, we look at what’s happening in your performance and identify the pattern underneath it. Once we understand what is getting in the way, we can work directly on it.
You bring the performance. I’ll help you identify what’s getting in the way of accessing it.
No. You don’t need to have any particular belief about hypnosis before you start.
You don’t need to be highly suggestible, have experienced hypnosis before, or even be completely sure how it works.
All you need is to be open to the process and willing to participate.
You’re guided through the session the entire time. You remain aware, and the work is focused on the performance pattern we’ve identified.
If you’re an athlete who knows there’s another level available in your performance, the important thing is simply being willing to explore a different way of accessing it.
The first thing to understand is that there isn’t a single experience of hypnosis that is the same for everyone.
The process is designed around you and the performance pattern we’re working on, rather than expecting you to respond in a particular way.
You don’t need to feel dramatically different during the session for the work to be useful. What matters is whether you begin to notice a meaningful change in the way you respond when you’re back in training and competition.
If we don’t see the change we’re looking for, we reassess what’s getting in the way and adjust the approach rather than simply continuing with the same thing.
The goal is the change in your performance, not how “hypnotised” you feel during the session.
Absolutely. In fact, the process can be even more powerful when you’re already working with coaches and other performance professionals.
You’ve already spent years developing your skills, knowledge, strategies and understanding of your game. We don’t want to replace that. We leverage it.
The mindset work, coaching, training, visualisation and other strategies you’ve already learned can all become part of what you’re bringing into your performance.
My role is to help you work through the automatic patterns that may be getting in the way of executing everything you’ve already developed.
We’re not starting from scratch. We’re building on everything you’ve already invested in and helping you access it more consistently when it matters.
You have direct access to me between sessions throughout the process.
If something comes up during training, before a big game, or during a high-pressure period, you can reach out rather than having to wait until our next scheduled session.
This might be something you’re experiencing in the lead-up to competition, something that happened during a game, or simply something you want to work through while you’re integrating the changes.
The idea is that you’re not just getting me for the time we’re on Zoom. I’m available to support you as you apply the work to your actual performance.
The investment includes the complete process to help you remove what’s getting in the way of your performance and access more of what you’re capable of.
You’ll work with me 1:1 through the initial session and follow-up sessions, with direct access to me between sessions when you need support.
You’re not investing in more techniques, strategies or things to manage.
The aim is to remove the interference, so you can perform with greater freedom, clarity and confidence.
And what that can unlock goes beyond your performance on the field. It can flow into your career, your relationships, leadership and your overall sense of peace and confidence.
This is for you if you already know you’re capable of more.
You’ve put in the training. You’ve developed the skills. You may have worked on your mindset and performance before. But you still know there’s a gap between what you know you can do and what you consistently access when it matters.
You don’t need to know exactly what’s causing that gap. You just need to be ready to address it.
If that sounds like where you are, the next step is to have a conversation and see if the process is right for you.
